This place is amazing. It is actually the first county-level city in China to have a subway, known as the “strongest county-level city in China”, which is not just a boast.
After going there, I realized that not only is this place economically developed, but the scenery is also really good. The charm of the Jiangnan water town is full, and it has a modern urban atmosphere. This combination is absolutely amazing!
Kunshan is a place where transportation is really convenient, with buses and subways running in all directions, and taking a taxi is also very fast.
I was thinking about going to a more representative place first, so I chose Tinglin Garden.
This Tinglin Garden is a business card of Kunshan, a national 4A level tourist attraction, formerly known as “Gu Garden”, built to commemorate Mr. Gu Yanwu.
The garden is not big, but it exudes delicacy everywhere, with pavilions and towers, small bridges and flowing water, rockeries and strange rocks, step by step, making me dazzled by the scenery.
After strolling through Tinglin Garden, my stomach began to growl.
Kunshan is also a place with excellent cuisine, such as Aozao noodles and Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
I found a small restaurant recommended by a local person and ordered a bowl of Aozao noodles. The taste was so fresh that my eyebrows were about to fall off.
After eating and drinking enough, I went to Yufeng Mountain again.
This mountain is not high, but the scenery is beautiful. Standing at the top of the mountain, you can overlook the entire Kunshan city, with a broad view and a refreshing feeling.
There is a Jade Peak Temple on the mountain, and the incense is very strong. I went in to worship and pray for good luck.
Yangcheng Lake in Kunshan is famous for its abundant production of hairy crabs. Every autumn, it attracts countless foodies to come for pilgrimage.
Although I didn’t go there in autumn, I still took a stroll by the lake and felt the delicious lake water that nurtures it.
The lake is shimmering with ripples, and the gentle breeze brushes against my face, it’s truly delightful.
In addition to these, there are many places worth visiting in Kunshan, such as Zhouzhuang.
This is one of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan, well preserved with antique architecture, small bridges, flowing water, and homes, it’s like an ink painting.
Walking on the bluestone road, looking at the ancient buildings on both sides, it feels like traveling back to ancient times.
In addition to Zhouzhuang, Kunshan also has a Jinxi ancient town, which is smaller than Zhouzhuang but quieter and more primitive.
There isn’t as much commercialization here, more of a quaint tranquility.
I walked slowly along the river, watching the black boat slowly glide by, feeling that time had slowed down.
If you enjoy natural scenery, Dianshan Lake is also a good choice.
This is the largest freshwater lake in Shanghai, partially located in Kunshan.
The lake is vast, the sky and water merge into one color, and the scenery is very spectacular.
You can take a boat tour of the lake, or take a walk by the lake, breathe fresh air, and relax your body and mind.
There is also a Bacheng Old Street in Kunshan, which preserves many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, with an antique and charming charm.
There are many specialty shops here where you can buy some local specialties, such as Kunshi, Qionghua, and so on.
During my few days in Kunshan, I felt like I had traveled through time and space, shuttling between modern cities and strolling through ancient towns.
The feeling of blending old and new is truly wonderful.
Kunshan, known as the ‘strongest county-level city in China’, not only has a developed economy, but its scenery is also breathtakingly beautiful.
If you have the opportunity to come to Jiangsu, you must come to Kunshan to see it. I believe you will also be impressed by its charm.
When I left Kunshan, my heart was filled with reluctance.
These days, I not only enjoyed the beautiful scenery, but also felt the profound cultural heritage of Kunshan.
This city is like a brilliant pearl, emitting a charming radiance.
The cuisine in Kunshan also left a deep impression on me.
In addition to Aozao noodles and hairy crabs, there are many other special snacks, such as crispy socks, sugar Congee, and so on, each of which gives me endless aftertaste.
In short, the trip to Kunshan was an unforgettable journey.
I not only saw the beautiful scenery, but also felt the vitality and charm of this city.
I hope to have the opportunity to come back here again and experience its beauty in the future.
