The most wonderful mountain in the world – Mount Huangshan Mountain

Mount Huangshan, one of the top ten famous mountains in China, is the most wonderful mountain in the world. Located in Mount Huangshan City in the south of Anhui Province, there are 72 peaks. The main peak, Lianhua Peak, is 1864 meters above sea level. Together with Guangming Peak and Tiandu Peak, it is called the three main peaks of Mount Huangshan Mountain and one of the 36 peaks. Mount Huangshan is the symbol of Anhui tourism and the only mountain scenery among China’s top ten scenic spots.
Mount Huangshan, formerly known as “Yishan Mountain”, is famous for its blue and black peaks and dark rocks, and for its Cang and Dai mountains. Later, the name was changed to “Mount Huangshan Mountain” because it was said that the Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan once made pills here. The representative landscapes of Mount Huangshan Mountain include “five wonders and three waterfalls”, five wonders: strange pines, strange rocks, sea of clouds, hot springs and winter snow; Three Waterfalls: Renzi Waterfall, Baizhang Spring, and Jiulong Waterfall. When visiting Mount Huangshan, Xu Xiake, a traveler in the Ming Dynasty, said, “The famous mountains at home and abroad are as thin as Mount Huangshan in the emblem. Climate characteristics
Mount Huangshan is located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, in the northern edge of the middle subtropical zone, evergreen broad-leaved forest, red soil and yellow soil zone. Due to the high mountains and deep valleys, the climate changes vertically. At the same time, due to the large difference in sunlight radiation between the northern and southern slopes, the local terrain plays a dominant role in their climate, forming a climate characterized by frequent clouds, high humidity, and heavy precipitation, close to a maritime climate. There is no scorching heat in summer and less severe cold in winter, with an average temperature difference of only about 20 degrees Celsius throughout the four seasons. The highest temperature in summer is 27 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature in winter is -22 degrees Celsius, the average annual temperature is 7.8 degrees Celsius, the average temperature in summer is 25 degrees Celsius, and the average temperature in winter is above 0 degrees Celsius. The average annual rainfall days are 183 days, mostly concentrated from April to June. The annual precipitation on the mountain is 2395 millimeters. The frequency of southwest and northwest winds is relatively high, with an average of 49 snowfall days per year.

Mount Huangshan has experienced a long period of orogeny and crustal uplift, as well as glaciers and natural weathering, before forming its unique peak forest structure. Mount Huangshan has many peaks, and 72 peaks are known as “36 big peaks and 36 small peaks”. The main peak, Lianhua Peak, is 1864.8 meters above sea level.

Yuping Scenic Area
Mount Huangshan Yuping Scenic Spot is centered on Yuping Tower, with Lianhua Peak and Tiandu Peak as its main body. The front mountain is usually referred to as this scenic spot. Along the way, there are landscapes such as “Penglai Three Islands”, “Hundred Step Cloud Ladder”, “Yixiantian”, “New Yixiantian”, and “Aoyu Cave”.
Beihai Scenic Area
Mount Huangshan Beihai Scenic Area is the hinterland of Mount Huangshan Scenic Area. Between Guangming Peak, Shixin Peak, Shizi Peak and White Goose Peak, it is connected to Cloud Valley Scenic Area in the east, Yuping Scenic Area in the south and Pine Valley Scenic Area in the north. It is a high mountain open area with an altitude of about 1600 meters and an area of 1316 hectares. Beihai Scenic Area takes the peak as the body, and gathers peaks, rocks, bamboos, docks, terraces, pines, and clouds. It is characterized by greatness, wonder, danger, and illusion. The wonderful layout of natural works and the changing colors of colored glaze form a natural picture scroll of greatness, wonder, illusion, and danger. It is the scenic window of Mount Huangshan Mountain. The peaks of Beihai are concentrated, with Shimen Peak and Gongyang Mountain both being peaks above 1800 meters above sea level, forming a barrier that separates the north and south. The Lion Peak, with an altitude of 1690 meters, lies horizontally in the scenic area with its head to the east, tail to the west. The cool terrace on Lion Peak is the best place to enjoy the sea of clouds and sunrise
Songgu Scenic Area
Mount Huangshan is known as “the front mountain is dangerous and the back mountain is beautiful”. The back mountain refers to the Pine Valley Scenic Area at the north gate of Mount Huangshan.
